“Finland chooses a new leader” by The Week Junior (Pt. I)

On the 2nd of April, Prime Minister Sanna Marin came 3rd in the nation’s general election, soon to be replaced by Petteri Orpo, head of the National Coalition Party.

In first place, Orpo’s party got the votes of 48 out of 200 seats, Finn’s party got 46 seats, and in third place came Marin’s party with 43 seats. Orpo’s party with his more traditional and conservative view, marked their win as a “major victory,” with Marin congratulating his party, saying “Democracy has spoken.”
